What are Open Graph meta tags?
Open Graph is a protocol created by Facebook that lets any web page become a rich object in a social graph. By adding OG meta tags to the <head> section of your page, you control exactly how a link appears when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp, and other platforms.
Without Open Graph meta tags, social platforms try to auto-extract a title, description, and image from your page — but the results are often wrong. With OG tags, you specify exactly what title, description, image, and other info will be shown.
The 4 essential tags are: og:title, og:type (content type), og:url (canonical URL), and og:image (preview image). The recommended image size is 1200x630 pixels.
Our tool generates the complete HTML code you need to add to the <head> section of your page. The whole process runs in your browser — your data is never sent to any server.
